Benchmarks

Half the videos in the shared pool are past 15 views a week after publishing.

Every range here is measured from real connected channels that share their stats — where a group’s channels sat, and the middle of it. This is where the reference readings on every dashboard come from: the typical views, subscribers, uploads, CTR, traffic mix, and retention for each group of matched channels. Nothing here is a target, and no channel is named.

At least 2 channels share their record here — under 100 subscribers, 100–999 subscribers, and 1,000–9,999 subscribers; in their first year and one to three years old; posting Shorts and longer videos.

Read from the pool cells the nightly run publishes for the whole shared pool, through its last reported day.

How views build, day by day

The shaded area is where the pool’s channels sat at each age, and the line through it is the middle. It is shaded only at the ages the record stores a pair for.

The groups, and what each one runs at

A group is channels matched on size, age, and the shape of what they post. A channel is read against the narrowest group the record can fill.

Where these ranges come from

Each row is one stored group reading: the group’s middle value for the window named on the row, and a span beside it. Which span depends on how many channels are in the group. Under five, it is the lowest and the highest value the group’s own channels recorded — an interpolated inner half of two or three channels can name an interval no channel occupied. From five channels up it is the inner half: the quarter above and the quarter below that middle value. Either way it is printed only where the group’s own pair is stored, never estimated. Every number is copied into each pooled channel’s daily file, which is where these are read from — so each group carries the day it was recorded through rather than the page carrying one date.

These groups are drawn from 2+ channels. The number is a floor, not a tally — the exact membership of a group is never stored.

Sharing is on from connect and an owner can turn it off at any time, which deletes that channel’s contributed data on the next daily build. The connect page says so before the Google sign-in step. Public pooled channels are listed by name on the directory; the numbers here name no one.

Every connected channel gets the pool reference readings — the typical-for-channels-like-this ranges — whether or not it shares. Sharing decides what goes into the pool, never what a channel reads from it.
